Patung Dinosaurus
The Dinosaur Sculpture was intended by the government as a recreational attraction for the locals in Ujungberung Square. The sculpture was later relocated to Lansia Park because the area’s respected figures filed a protest for the sculpture because they deemed it didn’t represent any of Sundanese cultural values. The sculpture measured in 2.5 meters tall and 6 meters wide. It has a realistic form of a Tyrannosaurus dinosaur and painted in a realistic rendering. This sculpture was funded from the city’s APBD.
Replika dinosaurus berbobot 1200 kilogram dan tinggi 2,5 meter dan panjang 6 meter tersebut terbuat dari bahan fiber dan besi. Patung replika T-Rex ini diletakkan di bagian timur taman lansia. Sebelumnya, patung ini berada di alun-alun Ujungberung, namun ditolak oleh beberapa pihak. Penolakan dari beberapa tokoh masyarakat disebabkan adanya keinginan menjadikan Alun-alun Ujungberung sebagai ruang publik yang mengenalkan seni budaya setempat dan berkonsep Sundanopolis. Dana yang digunakan untuk membangun patung ini diambil dari APBD Kota Bandung.
