Patung Keindahan Kota

This sculpture was a result of the government’s collaboration with Djarum Indonesia. It was officially announced by the chairman of Indonesia Football Association, Kardono, on May 8, 1990 as a memorial of Persib Bandung’s victory in the national amateur football competition called Perserikatan in 1989/1990. This sculpture was placed in front of the official military residence of Pangdam III Siliwangi (3rd Military Regional Command Siliwangi, Indonesian Army’s military unit). With Nyoman Nuarta’s distinctive style, this sculpture took the shape of a tiger. Its body tilted upwards and its mouth opened wide, displaying a magnificent roar. Tiger is also the symbol of Pangdam III Siliwangi.
