Relief Peristiwa APRA
This huge panel of relief depicts the APRA coup d’état that occurred in Bandung, and later branched to Jakarta, on January 23, 1950. On the morning of January 23, APRA troops moved from Cimahi towards the center of Bandung mainly to the Siliwangi Division Headquarters on Oude Hospitaalweg Street (now Lembong Street). Along the way to the Siliwangi Division Headquarters, APRA troops brutally shoot at every Slliwangi soldier they see, even the unarmed ones. Finally, the unbalanced battle between 800 APRA soldiers and 100 Siliwangi Army soldiers remaining at the base, which resulted in the death of Lt. Col. Adolf Lembong. The headquarters is now the Mandala Wangsit Museum.
