Tugu Maung Bandung (Simpang Wastukencana)

The construction of this monument series was first executed in 2017 by the Utility Department of Spatial Planning (Distaru) Bandung City. It is 9 meters in heightand painted in white and gold. The purpose of the monument itself is as a mark to indicate the old city area; this can be seen from the strong art deco style. There are 4 maung (the sundanese word for ‘tiger’ the animal) that seem to jump out of the monument’s body. Above them are stained glass and wall clocks, with a dome-shaped roof supported by several pillars, this was taken from the colonial era’s characteristic architectures.
